COMPASS WINDS 2013 BRIDAL COLECTION On Friday October 12th, designer Anne Bowen presented her Fall 2013 Bridal Collection "Compass Winds" at the historic Flatiron Hotel, within Toshi's Penthouse. This season ANNE BOWEN has taken a new approach by lending her vision to three distinct categories: Romantic, Modern, and Glamorous. This collection embodies the aesthetic of modern glamour for brides. Beaded fabrics and all things design are inspired by ocean and wind currents, thus awakening the wanderlust for exotic journeys and faraway destinations for all of us. From delicate beaded lace to the striking formality of organza, the collection breaks the rules of traditional uses of lace, fabric and beading by Anne Bowen. The unique draping of fabrics creates a movement and depth that mimics the contrasting nature of wind and water. The collection embodies waves crashing, soft breezes, and exotic oceans. Spontaneity and wonder within each design unifies the collection and the paradoxical contrast of elements that ultimately come together to complement and complete each other.
